WELCOME

Welcome to my recipe blog. I come across so many good recipes - and so many scraps of paper floating around my kitchen with good recipes on them. The problem - I can never find the recipe I want. I'll be honest, I copied the idea of a recepie blog. I love how easy it is to simply click on the label and find the recipe you want! I hope you will join me and share your recipes - just email me the recipe and I'll be so pleased to add it!

Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

1 bag bread crumbs (total of about 5 cups)
1 pound ground turkey sausage
1 cup chopped onion
3/4 c chopped celery
2 1/2 t dried sage
1 1/2 t dried rosemary
1/2 t dried thyme
1 Golden Delicious apple, corred and chopped
3/4 c dried cranberries
1/3 c minced fresh parsley
1 1/2 cans turkey broth
4 T unsalted butter, melted

In a large skillet, cook the sausage and onions over medium heat, stirring and breading up the lumps until evenly browned. Add the celery, sage, rosemary, and thyme; cook, stirring for 2 minutes to blend flavors.
Pour sausage mixture over bread in bowl. Mix in chopped apples, dried cranberries and parsley. Drizzle with butter and mix lightly.
At this point the stuffing can either be cooked or put in the fridge overnight.

If stored overnight bring to room temperature before continuing

To cook:
Drizzle with turkey broth and mix lightly. Bake in 350 degree oven for 35-45 minutes.
